GAMEBOY COLOR was released by NINTENDO in 1998. This console has the upward compatibility of GAMEBOY, it can run the titles of GAMEBOY. In 1997,Nintendo intended to develop GAMEBOY ADVANCE as a next-generation portable game machine, however NINTENDO developed and released a new type device in a rush to produce the color handheld game console by requests from game software developers.
