SEGA SATURN is home videogame concole released by SEGA in 1994. Because that was the 6th SEGA’s console, it was nemed SATURN after Saturn, 6th planet in Solar System. Plus, it was the sole gaming device which won NINTENDO, the long-time competitor in the domestic sales number despite the fact that the number couldn’t reach 10 million units comparing to the company’s gaming concole series including SC-1000,  SEGA Mark III, MEGA DRIVE, GAME GEAR and DREAM CAST. VICTOR COMPANY OF JAPAN (JVC KENWOOD) and HITACHI also release the compatible machines, as a result the sales record reached 7 million units totally. In those days SEGA released hit titles such as Virtua Fighter, Daytona USA, Virtua Cop, Fighting Vipers, Sega Rally Championship etc. for arcade games and they were ported into SEGA SATURN.
