SG-1000 is a SEGA’s videogame console released by SEGA in 1983. SEGA released gaming computer “SC-3000”, and SG-1000 is the console which doesn’t include the programming function and was composed by simple circuit only to focuses on the gaming specification when the console was release at the same timing of SC-3000’s sale. At the time of the release, the price was planned to set in 19,800 yen, but SEGA changed the price to 15,000 yen because NINTENDO announced that the company would sell Family Computer (so-called “Famicom”, as known as NES in the other countries). This console was sold by the other company under OEM licence in the foreign countries, and in Japan both TSUKUDA ORIGINAL and PIONEER sold the compatible machines.
